Weir is seeking a skilled Welder to join its Alberta facility. This critical role requires expertise in welding processes, especially fabrication and overlay welding. You’ll be responsible for quality assurance and safety in a fast-paced environment. Your work will support our mission to enable efficient and sustainable mining.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform fabrication and manual overlay welding on industrial components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Conduct inspections and repairs on welds for quality compliance
• Load and unload components for welding operations
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives via Lean events
Requirements:
• CWB qualification in flat and horizontal positions for GMAW
• Minimum two years of production welding experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently with established standards
• Experience with cranes and forklifts is a plus
