Operate heating plant equipment in person at the University of Alberta’s North Campus in Edmonton. Support safe production of essential campus utilities.
The Heating Plant Operator II assists the Heating Plant Shift Supervisor with plant operations. The 13.5-month term focuses on equipment producing electricity, steam, demineralized water, and compressed air. These utilities serve the University of Alberta campus, surrounding hospital facilities, and other customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Heating Plant Shift Supervisor with plant operations
- Operate equipment involved in producing electricity
- Operate equipment involved in producing steam
- Support production of demineralized water and compressed air
- Help maintain safe and efficient plant operation
- Meet the position’s minimum qualifications
- Demonstrate relevant experience, skills, or abilities
- Support safe operation of heating plant equipment
- Work in person at North Campus, Edmonton
- Understand the position has a 13.5-month term
