Direct PCL’s piping shop operations in Nisku, coordinating fabrication flow, workforce productivity, client requirements, and quality across multiple bays.
PCL Industrial Constructors Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage production spool fabrication from cutting and fit-up through testing, coatings, and shipping. You will work with fabrication, project, estimating, engineering, and field teams to align shop loading with construction work packages. The position requires strong leadership, scheduling, and pressure piping knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Build shop loading plans and align spool sequencing
- Identify bottlenecks, schedule risks, and throughput constraints
- Coordinate client, engineering, inspector, and field communications
- Track productivity, weld repairs, costs, and recovery actions
- Coordinate shipping, preservation, load planning, and tie-downs
- Superintendent or general foreman fabrication experience
- Fifteen years of progressive supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple shifts or fabrication bays
- Experience with shop metrics and resource forecasting
- Ability to interpret isometrics, P&IDs, and client specifications
