Overview:
The Social Media and Content Coordinator (Edmonton) plays a key role in crafting Brookfield Residential’s digital presence. They develop engaging content, run daily social activity, and support coordinated marketing campaigns across major platforms. By staying ahead of emerging trends, the Coordinator develops storytelling that elevates our communities, strengthens brand perception, and drives interest in our homes.
Working closely with the Marketing Team, they ensure organic content aligns with broader initiatives and complements paid strategies to enhance campaign performance. The role also supports audience growth, community engagement, and online reputation management by encouraging positive reviews, responding to feedback, and addressing issues promptly. In partnership with the Social Media & Content Specialist, Calgary, the Coordinator contributes to stronger engagement, conversions, and overall brand awareness across both markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the annual content and social media strategy in partnership with the Alberta Marketing team.
Lead a unified editorial calendar and ensure all content is consistent with brand, marketing priorities, and paid media initiatives.
Create, produce, and publish engaging content across all major platforms, including coordinating shoots, video production, editing, and asset delivery.
Lead content planning sessions and collaborate with internal teams, agency partners, residents, and influencers to generate authentic storytelling.
Lead all aspects of photography, video, and influencer needs, guiding in‑house or agency production as required.
Maintain consistent brand messaging across regional channels, including alignment with Edmonton RA social platforms.
Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and community conversations, responding promptly and raising issues per crisis and issues‑management guidelines.
Support internal teams with social media training and best‑practice updates.
Lead community engagement, online reviews, and customer interactions to strengthen brand reputation and experience.
Track performance across platforms, providing weekly, monthly, and annual insights, reports, and recommendations to optimize content, engagement, and promotional campaigns.
Support blog writing, editing, and coordination to highlight communities, offerings, and brand storytelling
What You'll Bring:
Diploma or post‑secondary degree in Marketing or Communications, with 1–3 years of related experience
Expertise in multiple social media platforms, blogs, podcasts (Facebook, Tik Tok Instagram, etc.) and content promotions
Intermediate knowledge of content considerations including such as SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
Proven written communication with attention to detail and outstanding grammar skills
Proficiency in Word Press and Content Management Systems
Familiar Google Reviews, Sprout Social (or other monitoring software), and Email Marketing automation
Knowledgeable about current and emerging technology and reporting options
Photography along with video production and editing abilities are an advantage
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator proficient
