This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Growth Marketing Manager, SEM based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful paid search strategies that drive customer acquisition and marketplace growth. You will manage and scale SEM programs while leveraging data, automation, and experimentation to improve marketing performance. Working across marketing, engineering, analytics, and data science teams, you will build scalable solutions that optimize customer demand generation. The position combines strategic ownership with hands‑on execution, allowing you to influence both short‑term results and long‑term growth initiatives.

You will use advanced measurement frameworks, AI‑powered tools, and performance insights to maximize marketing efficiency. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced growth marketer who thrives in a collaborative, innovative, and data‑driven environment.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute paid search strategies across major search platforms to capture customer demand and improve growth outcomes.
  • Manage, optimize, and scale SEM campaigns while ensuring alignment with performance goals and key business metrics.
  • Create and maintain an experimentation roadmap covering ad copy, keywords, bidding strategies, and campaign improvements.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through campaign analysis, market insights, and performance trends.
  • Partner with data science, analytics, and engineering teams to develop automation solutions, scalable tools, and improved campaign capabilities.
  • Own tracking, attribution, and measurement frameworks to evaluate performance using metrics such as incremental return on ad spend, lifetime value, and campaign impact.
  • Manage relationships with advertising platforms, vendors, and external partners.
  • Build and execute strategic roadmaps that improve paid acquisition efficiency over time.
  • Leverage automation and generative AI tools to enhance SEM execution, reporting, and optimization processes.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced performance marketing professional with a strong background in SEM strategy, optimization, and scaling digital advertising programs. You bring analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver measurable growth.

  • 8+ years of experience in paid digital advertising with a proven track record of scaling campaigns and improving performance.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing SEM programs through testing, optimization, automation, and creative iteration.
  • Experience managing large advertising budgets and relationships with multiple marketing platforms and partners.
  • Ability to define and execute 6–12 month growth roadmaps with measurable objectives and milestones.
  • Experience with target return on ad spend (tROAS), lifetime value-based bidding, and performance marketing strategies.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience with spreadsheets, pivot tables, lookups, and basic modeling.
  • Ability to translate complex performance data into clear recommendations and business decisions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience partnering across marketing, analytics, engineering, and data teams.
  • Advanced familiarity with generative AI and automation tools, with experience applying them to marketing workflows and analysis.
