Public Engagement Communications Officer

In this strategic role, reporting to the Superintendent, you will provide comprehensive communication support to the Division leadership. Focus on fostering transparency and trust across community channels while developing effective marketing and public engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and oversee communication and engagement strategies

• Support Board of Trustees in effective communication

• Manage media relations and respond to inquiries

• Promote stories celebrating student and staff success

• Collaborate with school administrators for consistent messaging

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline

• 3-5 years of experience in communications

• Proven relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders

• Ability to handle sensitive information discretely

• Proficient in social media and digital communication tools
