Marketing Manager

Our client is a profitable B2B SaaS, serving higher ed. It's platform is built into the daily workflow of the institutions it serves, making it hard to replace and customers stay for years. Growth so far has come from referrals and word of mouth. New investment is now funding a clear growth plan. That means building out sales and marketing, bringing AI and automation into the product, and expanding beyond its home market.

The team is small and has been together a long time, with very little turnover. Leadership works closely with the team and makes decisions quickly. The company is remote first and GTA based, with regular in-person time that's increasing.

The Opportunity:

Until now, marketing has been a collective effort across the founding team, with most new business coming inbound through referrals and word of mouth.
You will be the company's first dedicated marketing hire.
A year-one marketing playbook is already in place. It defines the roadmap and initial deliverables. Your job is to put it into action, build the marketing engine from the ground up, and evolve it based on what the results tell you.
The Skills/Requirement Needed to Succeed:
1) Experience as a hands on user of HUBSPOT MARKETING HUB
2) Previous experience working for a B2B or B2B2C SaaS product company where the goal of marketing campaigns is ARR growth.
3) A hands on marketer who understands how all the channels and components fit together to create impactful results. Email marketing, ABM, content, social channels, events and webinars.
4) Experience as a FOUNDING marketer or as the solo marketer in a small company. You love broad scope and making an impact on a business.
5) Based in the GTA. This is a remote-first company; however, occasional in-person events or meetings should be expected.
