Transform lives as an Outreach Worker/Facilitator in Edmonton, Alberta for the National Youth Thrive Program. Engage youth in civic activities through workshops and mentoring.
This full-time position aims to promote volunteer readiness among Indigenous and underserved youth. Your work will include facilitating workshops and providing coaching to help young participants navigate the requirements of non-profit work. You will also work closely with community partners to create opportunities that enhance engagement and volunteer placements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage youth through targeted outreach initiatives
• Deliver workshops focused on civic engagement
• Provide coaching and support for volunteer readiness
• Maintain detailed documentation of participant progress
• Develop partnerships to enhance program effectiveness
Requirements:
• At least 2 years in outreach, marketing, or community work
• Preferred degree in a related field
• Valid Alberta driver’s license and dependable vehicle
• Experience with Indigenous youth is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
