Make a difference in youth engagement with the Alberta Native Friendship Centres Association as an Engagement Coordinator. This full-time role in Edmonton focuses on empowering urban Indigenous youth to develop leadership skills.
In this role, you will engage with Indigenous youth, implementing strategies that foster community involvement and reconciliation initiatives aligned with UNDRIP. Your experience in project coordination and understanding of urban Indigenous barriers will be crucial in driving youth leadership development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop youth engagement strategies and programs
• Establish partnerships with relevant stakeholders
• Deliver culturally safe engagement opportunities
• Analyze data on youth participation
• Prepare reports on project activities and outcomes
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in a related field
• Minimum five years of experience in youth engagement
• Knowledge of UNDRIP and TRC's Calls to Action
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Teams
• Ability to travel as needed
Utilize your expertise in community engagement and project management to support urban Indigenous youth through the ANFCA.
