Registered Nurse Instructor - Rural Clinical Nurse Educator; CNE team

We seek a clinically experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for teaching to join our dynamic Rural Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) team in Redwater. Working in a small rural hospital offers close knit teamwork, strong community connections, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day. The CNE builds collaborative relationships with staff, physicians, patients, families, and partners, and works both independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with sound clinical judgment, evidence informed practice, and commitment to quality improvement and patient safety. The CNE supports learning needs, provides coaching and mentorship, facilitates group processes, leads site-based training is an innovator and agent of change. The role also supports RAI education, clinical service delivery, and the integration of Connect Care into nursing practice while developing education for rural Acute Care, Emergency and Long Term Care staff.

As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice.
You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience.
- Experience as an educator/preceptor.
- Adult education experience.

- Advanced assessment & stabilization skills.
