Shape your nursing journey at Alberta Kidney Care – North in Edmonton as a Licensed Practical Nurse focused on renal dialysis. This part-time role allows you to provide essential patient and family-centered care in a collaborative healthcare setting.
As an LPN at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, you will assess, plan, and evaluate care for acute and chronic renal failure patients. This position involves using your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities to deliver safe, high-quality care while adhering to established nursing standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage patient care effectively
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver family-centered educational support for patients
• Follow Hemodialysis Nursing Specialty Scope of Practice
• Participate in required training for specialty positions
Requirements:
• Accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education completed
• Eligible for CLHA registration with practice permit
• Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider certified
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to varying workloads and team dynamics
