Become a Foot Care Nurse (RN/RPN) at Spectrum Health Care in York Region, providing tailored nursing care to patients with foot-related health issues. Focus on assessment and prevention to enhance patient well-being.
Your role will involve diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of foot conditions in various settings including clinics and private homes. You will develop individualized care plans, educate patients on their foot health, and implement effective strategies for high-risk patients, ensuring adherence to infection control guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and diagnose foot conditions accurately
• Deliver preventive care and treatment for diverse issues
• Develop tailored care plans based on patients’ needs
• Educate patients on proper foot hygiene and care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and keep patient records updated
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Must hold an Advanced and Diabetic Foot Care certificate
• Experience in foot care is beneficial
• Valid G driver’s license and dependable vehicle
• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with computer software
