• Provide planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with provincial standards of care.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families and team members, communicating effectively.
• Implement and evaluate effectiveness of care plans and modify as required.
• Complete and maintain accurate clinical care assessments, care plans and documentation.
• Teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers, providing coaching and mentorship.

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
• Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge.
• Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers preferred.
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset.
• Strong drive, respect and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with ability to build trusted relationships.
• Robust written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or willingness to obtain one.
