Medicentres is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse in Westgate to assist patients and improve clinic operations part-time. Your customer service skills and clinical expertise will make a difference every day.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse reporting to the Clinic Manager, you will be an integral player in our healthcare team. This entry-level position requires exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively greet, register, and support patients during their visits. You'll assist with clinical procedures and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment that reflects our values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Register patients and manage appointment scheduling
• Assist with diagnostic tests and record medical interventions
• Prepare patients for their consults and procedures
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and adhere to safety standards
• Participate in training new staff and medical students
Requirements:
• Accredited two-year diploma in practical nursing
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
• One year of customer service experience preferred
• Familiarity with Med Access software is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
