This part-time position requires a compassionate Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse who is skilled in mental health assessments and substance use interventions. You will work autonomously, providing vital services ranging from conducting health assessments to facilitating client groups.
Your role will include medication management and ensuring seamless transitions of care to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for clients
• Facilitate and co-lead physician clinics
• Mentor colleagues and support team collaboration
• Advocate for client needs and coordinate care
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care
Requirements:
• Completion of accredited Psychiatric nursing education
• Active registration with CRPNA
• Current BCLS-HCP certification
• Knowledge of DSM-5 and mental health assessments
• Experience with high-risk youth preferred
Support vulnerable youth and promote holistic health care in a dynamic environment at Alberta Hospital.
