Empower vulnerable communities in Edmonton as a Casual Licensed Practical Nurse with Radius Community Health & Healing. This position provides an opportunity to apply nursing skills in a harm reduction model focused on client well-being.
In this essential role, you will collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to deliver integrated services r primary responsibilities will include monitoring clients during substance use, providing education on safe practices, and executing immediate medical interventions. The successful candidate will have experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to enhance the health of marginalized groups in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish rapport and support for service users
• Educate clients about harm reduction and health resources
• Conduct Naloxone training for overdose prevention
• Manage emergencies associated with substance use
• Communicate medical concerns to nursing staff promptly
Requirements:
• Active registration with CLPNA
• Familiarity with health issues among diverse populations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Capacity to work independently and in teams
