Registered Nurse
We are looking for Registered Nurses who are passionate about obstetrical nursing, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a collaborative team that makes a difference every day. As a Registered Nurse in Labour & Delivery, you will use your advanced clinical skills to provide safe, evidence-informed and compassionate care across the obstetrical journey. You will work collaboratively with physicians, midwives, anesthesiology, neonatal teams and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
You will care for patients experiencing normal and complex pregnancies, provide support throughout labour and birth, recognize and respond to obstetrical emergencies, and care for patients with obstetrical complications and/or medical conditions complicated by pregnancy.
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in the antepartum, labour and delivery, and postpartum periods, including newborn assessment and breastfeeding support. Experience and competency in areas such as fetal health surveillance, labour support, obstetrical emergencies, neonatal resuscitation, operative birth and obstetrical surgical care will contribute to your success.
We are proud of the knowledge, experience and passion our nurses bring to obstetrical care. We value nurses who are willing to learn from one another, teach one another, support each other through the hard days and celebrate the incredible moments together.
Bring your skills, your curiosity, your compassion and your passion for birth. Come grow your practice with us. As a member of the Labour & Delivery team, you will be expected to maintain all required certifications and competencies and adhere to applicable policies, procedures, practice guidelines, AHS Values and Code of Conduct.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.
You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.
