Covenant Health Diabetes Registered Nurse

Become a vital part of Covenant Health as a Registered Nurse focused on diabetes care at the Lakewood Community Health Center. Deliver comprehensive patient treatment and education.

As part of the Center for Diabetes Care, the Registered Nurse will engage in patient assessments and care planning, implementing treatments and evaluating progress. The role also includes educating patients and families about diabetes management and possibly leading community outreach efforts. Responsibilities emphasize collaboration with a dedicated healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide thorough nursing assessments and interventions

• Manage medication administration and treatment evaluations

• Educate patients and their families on diabetes care

• Act as advocate and coordinator for patient needs

• Involve in community outreach activities to promote health

Requirements:

• Graduate of a recognized Registered Nurse program

• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta

• At least 2-3 years of related clinical experience

• Basic Life Support Level C certification required

• Teaching experience in health care preferred
