Nor Questers are difference makers and we’re looking for an Instructor to join our Faculty of Health team at our Wetaskiwin campuses in our Practical Nurse program.

This is a permanent role.

Graduates of Nor Quest College’s Practical Nurse program are also difference makers in terms of the health care that Albertans receive. Our students prepare for their clinical experiences with theory and hands‑on learning in multiple modes of delivery, and we are proud of the varied and robust learning experiences in our programs. We utilize low and high‑fidelity simulation to augment the learner experience, providing students with a safe learning environment to practice and reflect.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Diploma in Nursing with a degree in a related applicable health field is required.

CRNA or CLHA registration in good standing

At least 5 years of full‑time clinical nursing or nursing education experience (or the equivalent in part‑time experience)

Previous formal or informal teaching experience is an asset.

Current BLS, WHIMIS, HBPE, It’s Your Move, N95 Mask fit.

Clear Police Information Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to teach individuals at different skill levels.

Ability to establish and maintain an interactive learning environment with skill practice and be able to apply the basic principles and practices of adult education.

Ability to evaluate student performance through various academic methods.

Advanced skills in conflict resolution and problem solving.

Ability to develop different classroom strategies to keep learners engaged.

Strong oral communication and writing skills.

Passion for Nursing and teaching technical skills to individuals interested in joining the Health Care industry.

Previous formal or informal teaching experience is an asset.
