Nursing Informatics Specialist (AI Training) About

The Role

Your clinical knowledge is more valuable than you think — beyond the bedside. We're looking for Nursing Informatics Specialists to help evaluate and improve AI systems being developed for healthcare environments. You'll bring real-world nursing expertise to the table, helping ensure that AI understands clinical workflows, documentation, and patient care the way a nurse actually does.

This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of frontline nursing and cutting-edge AI — without leaving your home.

  • Organization:
    Alignerr
  • Type:
    Hourly Contract
  • Location:

    Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
  • Evaluate AI-generated clinical content and health IT outputs for accuracy, safety, and alignment with real nursing practice
  • Review and assess how AI interprets EHR workflows, clinical documentation, and nursing care processes
  • Identify gaps, errors, or unsafe assumptions in AI responses related to nursing informatics
  • Translate your clinical experience into structured, actionable feedback that improves AI model quality
  • Flag issues with how AI handles patient data concepts, care coordination, and clinical decision support
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with experience in informatics or health IT
  • Hands-on familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows and nursing care standards
  • Able to analyze AI outputs critically and communicate feedback clearly in writing
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently on structured tasks
  • No prior AI experience required — your clinical expertise is what matters
Nice to Have
  • Background in clinical informatics, health data, or systems implementation
  • Experience with data annotation, quality review, or evaluation frameworks
  • Familiarity with clinical decision support tools or population health platforms
Why Join Us
  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with leading research labs and teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and how much suits you
  • Apply your nursing expertise in a brand-new way without leaving home
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute to healthcare AI that could meaningfully improve patient safety and care quality
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
