Emergency nursing expertise matters at Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, where Licensed Practical Nurses deliver holistic care within a multidisciplinary team.
As an LPN with emergency experience, you will practice to full scope while applying clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills. This regular part-time opportunity supports person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care for patients, residents, and families. You will coordinate care activities, contribute to safety initiatives, and support collaborative practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver holistic care and support to patients, residents, and families
- Apply nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and critical thinking
- Coordinate care activities within your scope of practice
- Support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Orient, coach, mentor, and support learners
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent
- Active registration with the CLHA
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C certification
- Emergency experience required
- Ability to transport, lift, position, bend, push, and pull
