Provide resident-centered care as a casual Health Care Aide with Lifestyle Options - Whitemud, supporting dignity and independence. Use communication and medication assistance skills daily.
Working under a Licensed Practical Nurse and Supervisor, you will support inclusive care for seniors. The position involves individualized care plans, daily living assistance, medication support, and documentation. You will communicate observations with nurses, AHS Case Managers, and other health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide care aligned with individualized resident care plans
- Support hygiene, mobility, meals, and recreational activities
- Complete safe medication assistance according to current standards
- Perform authorized and delegated procedures for resident needs
- Document service hours and resident activities accurately
- Active CLHA registration for LPNs and HCAs
- Experience with elderly, disabled, and palliative care preferred
- Deliver person-centered care involving residents and families
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence and strong English communication
- Follow infectious disease, safety, and hygiene protocols
