Emergency Department Licensed Practical Nurse

Emergency nursing experience matters at Wetaskiwin Hospital & Care Ctr, where an LPN provides direct patient and family centred care. This temporary part-time position includes days, nights, and weekends.
Alberta Health Services seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Emergency Department and Outpatients Department. You will work within an interprofessional health care team, applying nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. The brand new 24 bed Emergency Department opens soon.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide safe, high quality direct patient care
Deliver patient and family centred care
Apply nursing processes in clinical practice
Use critical thinking and problem solving
Support care within an interprofessional team
Requirements:
Accredited practical nurse education program completion
Active or eligible Alberta LPN practice permit
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
One year Emergency Department LPN experience
ACLS, Lead II, and CTAS certification
