Lead resident-centered care at Extendicare Holyrood Home in Edmonton, using nursing leadership and clinical expertise to support residents and families.
As Director of Care, you will lead long-term care operations and a high-performing care team. You will oversee resident assessments, personalized care planning, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. The position also includes staff education, financial stewardship, risk management, and collaboration with residents, families, vendors, and community health partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the resident care team and foster collaboration
- Oversee assessments and personalized resident care plans
- Monitor healthcare regulations, licensing, and accreditation compliance
- Implement quality improvement initiatives supporting resident safety
- Manage nursing budgets, staffing, and variance analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing;
Master’s degree preferred - Unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with provincial licensing body
- Five years nursing experience and two years leadership experience
- Long-term care regulations and best practices knowledge
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems
