Urban Forestry Landscape Technician

In this key role within the Project Forestry team, you will engage with various stakeholders to manage tree assets and conduct health assessments of urban trees. Your responsibilities include collecting field data, reviewing landscape plans, and ensuring compliance with City standards. This role requires effective communication, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining green spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect field data on tree measurements and assessments
• Review landscape drawings to confirm tree ownership
• Coordinate contractor compliance with City standards
• Conduct inspections on contracted tree work progress
• Respond to public inquiries regarding tree-related issues
Requirements:
• 2-year technology diploma with arboricultural emphasis
• Minimum 2 years’ landscaping experience
• Knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS)
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
