In this role, you will assist in critical field operations for municipal trees nearing the end of their lifecycle. Your hands-on experience will include log hauling, stump grinding, and supporting sawmill processes. Collaborating with certified crew leaders, you will uphold a safety-first mentality while navigating essential winter maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in log removal, rigging, and secure hauling
• Support sawmill operations and timber sorting tasks
• Conduct site setup for stump grinding equipment
• Maintain clean work zones by clearing debris
• Perform winter yard operations, including snow clearing
Requirements:
• Completion of 10th grade education
• 1 year of related experience in arboriculture
• Competency in chainsaw operation and rigging
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license
