We are currently seeking a Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager for our client, a leading organization operating within a precision manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager is accountable for ensuring that all products and processes meet regulatory, customer, and internal requirements, while driving sustainable improvements across the business. This role combines hands‑on quality leadership with strategic continuous improvement, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term organizational performance.

Quality Leadership
  • Lead the Quality function, including QA, QC, and Quality Engineering teams
  • Establish and execute the strategic direction of the Quality department aligned with corporate objectives
  • Oversee and enhance quality management systems and on‑floor quality practices
  • Collaborate with Plant Leadership to ensure alignment on process changes and quality expectations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures across manufacturing operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensor, and customer requirements
Continuous Improvement
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Drive process standardization, workflow optimization, and waste reduction
  • Mentor and support internal Lean practitioners (Yellow/Green Belts)
  • Utilize tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Kaizen, FMEA, and Value Stream Mapping to improve performance
  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on process improvement and operational excellence
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop members of the Quality team
  • Support recruitment, retention, and performance management initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high‑performance culture
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
  • Promote strong risk management practices through leadership and training
Cross-Functional & Strategic Leadership
  • Act as a key member of the Senior Management Team
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive both short‑ and long‑term strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to improve performance and execution
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including quality, delivery, revenue, and margin
  • Lead performance reviews and ensure action plans are implemented to address gaps
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or Professional Licensee (P.L. Eng); APEGA membership or eligibility required
  • 15+ years of experience in QA/QC within a manufacturing or machining workplace
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams and driving performance
  • Formal training in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred)
  • ISO Auditor certification considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with in oil & gas or related industries considered an asset
