Reporting to the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager, the Quality Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) ensures product excellence by implementing quality processes, working with production teams to solve issues, monitoring critical processes, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to QA Inspectors & CNC Operators on containment, inspections, quality procedures and tools to monitor critical processes.

Provide quality planning, control, and continuous improvement support to the Product Development and Operations teams.

Represent quality during new product development implementation phases. Facilitate and/or participate in product onboarding discussions as required.

Report on the defined quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

Analyze system data & KPI’s to facilitate quality‑related discussions with internal and external customers & suppliers to drive corrective action.

Lead Corrective Action Report (CAR) teams to drive corrective action on identified issues.

Position Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical discipline preferred).

1 or more years of related experience in quality or manufacturing engineering in a design/manufacturing environment preferred.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

A hands‑on mentality and ability to lead with minimal supervision to robustly solve quality issues.

Understanding of the execution of quality tools such as Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis.

Adaptability to effectively change priorities to meet business objectives.

ISO auditor certification is an asset.

Working Conditions And

Physical Requirements

50% office environment with extended sitting & computer use, 50% manufacturing shop floor environment with extended standing.

Working while wearing personal protective equipment when in the plant.
