Supplier Quality Engineer in Robotics

Join Figure, an AI Robotics company in San Jose, CA, as a Supplier Quality Engineer. This role demands a solid mechanical background to onboard and evaluate suppliers effectively.

As a critical member of the Figure team, you will onboard new vendors and analyze their quality metrics. Your expertise in manufacturing processes will be essential as you implement quality plans and drive improvements across diverse parts, from injection molding to textiles. Candidates should be prepared for in-office collaboration, five days a week, and be able to travel up to 20% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and quality plans

• Monitor supplier performance metrics for continuous improvement

• Review vendor DFM and inspection plans for compliance

• Analyze first article inspection reports thoroughly

• Resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of quality systems and engineering principles

• Proven experience in process validation and continuous improvement

• Expertise in GD&T for precise implementation

• 4+ years in manufacturing engineering, preferred

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field
