Development Manager

Our client is seeking a results‑driven Development Manager to oversee multiple real estate development and redevelopment projects from early feasibility through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing municipal approvals, supporting financing activities, and ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with strategic, financial, and operational objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong development expertise, financial acumen, and the ability to lead complex projects through multiple stages.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Identify and evaluate viable development and redevelopment opportunities
  • Prepare feasibility analyses, proformas, budgets, schedules, and cash flow projections
  • Lead projects from concept through approvals, construction coordination, and completion
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and external consultants effectively
  • Navigate municipal approvals, permitting, and stakeholder engagement processes
  • Support financing, investment approvals, and capital planning activities
  • Monitor project performance against budget, schedule, and return targets
  • Collaborate with construction, asset management, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Your strengths include:
  • Post‑secondary education in real estate, planning, business, or a related discipline
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in real estate development, project management, or leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of development feasibility, financial modeling, and project economics
  • Experience navigating municipal approvals and regulatory environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills
  • Detail‑oriented with a strategic mindset and strong problem‑solving abilities
