Laboratory Assistant Seasonal

Position: Laboratory Assistant Seasonal Role
Join Element as a Laboratory Assistant in Edmonton for a seasonal assignment until December 31, 2026. You will perform vital testing assignments and ensure sample integrity under supervision.

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support our operations team in one of our laboratories in Edmonton. This role requires proficiency in complying with safety rules and company policies, along with effective communication skills. You will be crucial in maintaining accurate test results and supporting laboratory functions while adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and document samples for testing

• Inspect samples and report integrity issues

• Communicate with clients about sample analysis

• Enter sample details into LIMS and generate labels

• Maintain clean and safe laboratory environments

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in chemistry or related field

• Experience with LIMS applications and procedures

• Safety training including WHMIS

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically
