This two-year in-person position at North Campus Edmonton aims to empower recent PhD graduates in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Physiology. You will work on CIHR-funded projects examining cardiopulmonary complications and leverage advanced techniques in integrative physiology. This role not only includes support for ongoing projects but encourages you to develop independent research questions and contribute to high-impact publications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead CIHR-funded research on cardiopulmonary issues
• Evaluate therapeutic targets for COPD-related dyspnea
• Investigate dyspnea mechanisms in pulmonary arterial hypertension
• Utilize advanced spectroscopy techniques in clinical populations
• Develop independent research and publish findings
Requirements:
• Recent PhD in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Physiology
• Strong background in human integrative physiology
• Expertise in cardiorespiratory pathophysiology
