The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Research Scientist/Senior Scientist in the Energy Technology Department.
Your role emphasizes advancing spacecraft solar cells and their performance in space. Key responsibilities include leading R&D projects, conducting experimental designs, and building computational models to assess solar array technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead R&D efforts for next-gen space solar technology
• Design and execute experiments with data analysis
• Create computational modeling tools for solar research
• Communicate findings to colleagues and stakeholders
• Mentor junior scientists and lead project teams
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in relevant STEM field
• 8+ years in opto-electronic materials research
• Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
• Experience with electro-optical characterization techniques
• Ability to maintain government security clearance
