Interdisciplinary Grant: Health Risks of Ultra-Processed Foods

This collaborative funding initiative encourages research teams to address the increasing consumption of UPFs among Canadians and its link to adverse health outcomes. Teams will explore biological mechanisms, dietary impacts, and structural determinants of UPFs. Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Independent Canadian researcher as Nominated Principal Applicant

• Must include Early Career Researchers in the team

• Adherence to tri-agency CV requirements

• Integration of EDI considerations in research proposals

• Commitment to addressing Indigenous health needs in research

The findings will support evidence-informed policies to mitigate UPF related health issues.
