We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Evolutionary Biology, or related fields. You'll engage in innovative research combining experimental and bioinformatics approaches to uncover the evolution of vesicular trafficking systems. A strong communication ability and a collaborative spirit are essential to thrive in our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Ancestral Protein Reconstruction on adaptin subunit complexes
• Express ancestral proteins in Dictyostelium for function assays
• Investigate evolutionary cell biology using bioinformatics
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Utilize advanced cell biology and computational techniques
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in a relevant biological field within the last 5 years
• Strong background in molecular cell biology and membrane trafficking
• Proven scientific communication and publication history
• Expertise in Dictyostelium discoideum model system preferred
• Submission of CV and cover letter is essential
