Field Research Technician at AFNS

Join the Cropping Systems Research Group at AFNS as a Field Research Technician in Edmonton. This temporary position focuses on logistics, field data collection, and team collaboration.

The role, lasting one year and one day, is based primarily at Edmonton's North and South Campuses and various field locations in Alberta. You will facilitate field research activities, prepare equipment, and analyze data while maintaining hands-on involvement in greenhouse tasks. Under guidance from senior team members, you will also be responsible for training others on equipment and collaborating with research teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enable logistics for field research activities

• Prepare and operate research equipment

• Collect and analyze data from various field sites

• Operate drones for efficient data gathering

• Lead training sessions for peers and students

Requirements:

• Prior data collection and analysis experience

• Understanding of field research practices

• Exceptional organizational abilities

• Experience leading teams of up to 10 people

• Willingness to support greenhouse work
