Lead emergency medicine research from North Campus Edmonton through a hybrid appointment combining remote and in-person work.
The University of Alberta’s Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry seeks an Assistant Professor for a five-year Endowed Chair appointment. The successful candidate will develop an international-caliber research program, build on established research strengths, and foster collaboration across disciplines and medical teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop an international-caliber emergency medicine research program
- Generate and disseminate emergency medicine research knowledge
- Foster collaboration across internal and external disciplines
- Build research productivity through existing departmental synergies
- Advance research, services, and education capacity
- MD with graduate-level research training or related health sciences PhD
- Established record of research success and knowledge dissemination
- Research background in epidemiology or emergency department operations
- Experience in healthcare quality improvement or population-based research
- Eligibility for Assistant Professor tenure-contingent appointment
