Part-Time Seasonal Merchandiser

Seasonal Merchandisers report directly to a Sales Manager and work within big-box retailers such as Home Depot, Rona+, and Reno Depot. They execute merchandising directives, maintain product displays, and provide customers and retail staff with product knowledge while relaying inventory information to the Scotts Sales team.

Contract position start March–April, end August–September. Typical weekday shift 7 am–3:30 pm (flexible). Weekend shifts may be required Saturday 10 am–2 pm from mid-April to end‑of‑May.

• Merchandise Scotts products, including restocking shelves, racks, and displays; cleaning, facing products; repairing or removing damaged items, etc.
• Drive in-store sales in conjunction with the Scotts Sales Manager.
• Assemble fixtures and displays in-store.
• Install and maintain point‑of‑purchase materials.
• Provide recommendations and product knowledge to both consumers and retail customer associates.
• Provide consumer product education.

• Strong initiative, self‑directed, reliable, and able to work independently with little supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb a step or grip ladder up to 4 m (12 ft), handle some heavy lifting (implying bending, kneeling), and stand for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable working in/outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
• Live within 25 km of the respective location.
• Current valid driver’s license, driver’s abstract, and criminal record that meet company criteria.
• Access to a car or reliable transportation during work hours.
• Access to a computer with printing capabilities and a smartphone.
• Steel‑toe boots or shoes (green patch).
