Job Description
The Back End Bakery Clerk is responsible for carrying out a variety of duties in a professional, safe, accurate and timely manner. Exceptional customer service is expected, as is working respectfully in a team environment. The Back End Bakery Clerk reports directly to the Bakery Manager and must be available to start work at 5 am or 6 am.
Responsibilities- Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, OH&S procedures, store policies, programs and initiatives.
- Assist and answer customer questions and concerns, providing them with a positive shopping experience.
- Cleaning, tidying, straightening.
- Preparing, scaling, mixing, cutting, panning, proofing and baking.
- Putting away stock.
- Preparing for the next day.
- Ensuring product is top quality.
- Other duties as required.
- Ability to work quickly, independently and as part of a team.
- Being open to change and new ideas.
- Availability including weekends and early mornings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and spend entire shift standing/walking.
- Part‑time hours: 24-32 hours per week.
- 8‑hour shift.
- Monday to Friday.
- Day shift with possible occasional evening.
- Availability including weekends and early mornings.
