Are you ready to tackle some of the most complex and rewarding challenges in the industry? In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with brilliant minds and contribute to high-profile projects that are changing the landscape of our world.

As an Early Career Project Controls Professional in our Buildings sector, based in Calgary or Edmonton, you will support cost management, financial reporting, forecasting, and scheduling activities across public- and private-sector projects. This permanent role offers a foundation for long-term growth in project controls, with practical coaching from cost, planning, scheduling, finance, and project-delivery professionals. You may also gain exposure to government and defence-related assignments as future project needs evolve.

Your Impact

Support project cost control by maintaining accurate cost records, commitments, budgets, forecasts, and related project data.

Produce timely financial reports and cost insights that help project teams understand performance and make informed decisions.

Contribute to project controls processes by validating data, tracking changes, and maintaining clear, traceable documentation.

Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, and technical teams to connect cost information with project delivery priorities.

Build scheduling capability by supporting planning activities and gaining exposure to Primavera P6 alongside scheduling resources.

The Skills That Set You Apart

A diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent education in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, construction management, project management, or another quantitative discipline.

Strong numerical and financial aptitude, with the ability to work confidently with cost data, estimates, budgets, and forecasts.

Foundational knowledge of project environments, project delivery processes, cost control, financial reporting, or scheduling gained through education or practical experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis; exposure to Power BI, data analytics, or dashboard reporting is an asset.

Exposure to Primavera P6 or other scheduling tools is an asset, together with an interest in developing capability across both cost control and scheduling.

Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for a future government security clearance if assigned to projects where clearance is required.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 - $88,400

MB & ON: $60,900 - $83,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 - $80,000
