Job description:

The Cake Decorator/Bakery Clerk is responsible to carry out a variety of duties in a professional, safe, accurate and timely manner. Exceptional customer service is expected, as is working respectfully in a team environment.

• Decorating cakes, cream work and pastry work.
• Packaging bread and buns as needed.
• Collecting supplies from the cooler and freezer.
• Taking cake orders.
• Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, OH&S procedures, store policies, other programs and initiatives.
• Assist and answer customer questions and concerns, while providing them with a positive shopping experience.
• Keep work area clean and presentable.
• Handle, organize and rotate product in accordance with store policy.
• Other duties as required.

• Ability to work quick and independently.
• Be open to change and new ideas.
• Available for a variety of shifts including weekends.
• Ability to lift, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Creativity and artistic flair.

Experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
