Role
Summary:
As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and Distribution partners in Western Canada, understanding and solidifying purchase agreements, customer alliances and market trends. You will also develop a keen understanding of Flowserve operations to enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate selling efforts with other internal and 3rd party selling channel partners.

Western Canada.
Travel requirement:
Up to 70%.
Responsibilities:
Drive bookings levels to meet and/or exceed assigned bookings goalMaintain regular, planned communication with key customers in Western CanadaDevelop and implement marketing plans and effective account strategies aligned with regional sales objectives to support organizational goalsCreate and implement pursuit strategies for each target regional accountServe customers as a primary contact for all business dealings, ensuring all customer concerns are being addressed including proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, warranty claims, etc.Educate customers on the quality, features and uses of our products through the full use of the company’s marketing materialsCollaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure customers’ needs are metMaintain organized records, including regular reports, quotes, status, actuals, expenses, etc.Other duties as assignedRequirements:
10+ years relevant experience in Sales with flow control equipment such as control valvesExperience in the oil & gas, petrochemical and chemical industriesTraining in sales techniques, negotiations and business financeDemonstrated skills in leading meetings, including setting agendas, preparing, facilitating discussions and assigning follow-up activitiesDemonstrate financial acumen to discuss business decisions, particularly return on investment in support of solution sellingAble to work independently, efficiently and communicate productively with othersSome physical activity required, such as walking large customer sites, lifting at least 50 lbs, and ascending/descending ladders and staircases in multi-story facilitiesKnowledge of the design and operational requirements of control and isolation valves, instrumentation and related equipmentSkilled at product demonstrations, presentations and business writingProficient in technology such as Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SalesforcePreferred Experience / Skills:
BS or BA Degree in relevant fieldAbility to lead root cause failure analysis and communicate resultsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProject management experience is a plusBenefits:
