Location - This role is in‑person. Work primarily takes place at University of Alberta campuses across Edmonton.
The Locksmith is required by law to be security‑audited and registered with Alberta Justice and the Solicitor General. This position is charged with the responsibility of providing a safe and secure environment for the University community Journeyperson locksmith provides continuous service (including the participation in standby on a rotating basis) ensuring that all emergency situations such as lost or stolen keys, break‑ins, insecure doors, vandalism, etc.,
are dealt with in a timely manner. In addition to providing these services, it is the responsibility of the locksmith to manage and maintain a high security keying system for private organizations affiliated with the University of Alberta.
