Community Peace Officer at NAIT

Become a key figure in safety and security as a Community Peace Officer with NAIT. This full-time, on-site role focuses on promoting public safety and responding to security emergencies across NAIT’s main campus.

NAIT is looking for an engaged Professional to serve as a Community Peace Officer I. This position involves proactive and reactive incident investigations, enforcement of laws, and legal representation. Key skills required include knowledge of safety systems and the ability to handle volatile situations effectively while maintaining a clear security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols across NAIT property

• Enforce parking policies and issue violation notices

• Respond promptly to incidents and general complaints

• Carry out investigative actions related to security emergencies

• Represent NAIT in court when required

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion and relevant diploma

• Community Peace Officer I designation and valid certifications

• Minimum three years of customer service experience

• One year of related law enforcement experience

• Clear criminal record and successful P.A.R.E. completion
