University Security Agent

This in-person role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on the safety of faculty, students, and visitors. As part of the Protective Services team, you will engage in proactive patrols and ensure that only authorized individuals access restricted areas. Your responsibilities also include responding to incidents swiftly and keeping detailed activity logs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol campuses actively and monitor for suspicious activity
• Enforce campus policies firmly yet professionally
• Provide assistance and information to the university community
• Conduct regular building evacuations if necessary
• Respond promptly to any security incidents
Requirements:
• High school diploma as per Alberta regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid Alberta security license or readiness to obtain one
• Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Must pass a criminal record and vulnerable sector check
Assist in cultivating a safe campus environment for all at the University of Alberta, Edmonton.
