Join Alberta Health Services as a Protective Services Officer II at the Wetaskiwin Hospital & Care Centre. Play an integral role in maintaining safety and security for all.
In this full-time position, you'll be responsible for implementing security measures for patients, visitors, and staff at AHS facilities. Your duties will include violence monitoring, enforcing applicable statutes, and conducting risk assessments. Working closely with individuals dealing with addictions and mental health issues, you’ll contribute to effective crisis management and foster strong public relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and intervene in violent situations
• Execute risk assessments to identify hazards
• Conduct investigations and secure evidence for legal processes
• Act as a first responder in emergencies
• Collaborate on security policies with facility departments
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Eligibility for Community Peace Officer status
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence required
• Complete P.A.R.E evaluation within specified time
• Relevant experience or education in security preferred
