Community-Focused Loss Prevention Specialist

Blackbird Security is looking for a Loss Prevention Specialist in Edmonton, AB, dedicated to enhancing community safety through theft prevention. This role focuses on proactive asset protection and strong customer engagement.

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will conduct undercover investigations, patrol retail areas, and monitor surveillance feeds to ensure a theft-free environment. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and experience handling security-related incidents.

Your role will directly contribute to maintaining a safe and secure shopping experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prevent shoplifting through monitoring and customer service

• Observe and patrol retail premises as an undercover agent

• Detain suspects and recover stolen items responsibly

• Accurately document incidents and report to law enforcement

• Handle emergency situations with appropriate responses

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta Security License is required

• Previous experience in retail security (1 year minimum)

• Knowledge of Use of Force protocols

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Eagerness to learn and engage in skill enhancement
