Support newcomers in settling safely in Canada as a Settlement Coordinator with the Council for Canada. Help individuals rebuild their lives through effective resource connections.
The Council for Canada seeks two Settlement Coordinators to join their team in Northeast and Southwest Ontario. This position involves providing wraparound support services that assist newcomers in obtaining social welfare benefits, housing, employment, and education. You will create tailored Settlement Plans that pave the way for a successful transition and positive living experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personalized support to displaced individuals and families
• Assist with accessing legal and social services
• Provide language and financial literacy education
• Connect clients to healthcare and employment resources
• Create and implement individualized Settlement Plans
Requirements:
• Relevant experience in social services or community support
• Awareness of challenges faced by displaced persons
• Excellent troubleshooting and advocacy skills
• Team-oriented with strong communication abilities
• Dedication to improving newcomers’ quality of life
