This vital role involves training Distress Line Volunteers and supervising their performance during crisis response activities. With your strong communication and problem-solving skills, you will equip volunteers to handle crisis situations effectively. The position includes direct interaction with clients experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring they receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver and facilitate training for volunteers
• Monitor and assess trainee performance during shifts
• Provide emotional support during crisis interactions
• Conduct follow-up calls for high-risk clients
• Coordinate with emergency services when necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience
• Completion of Grade 12; social sciences preferred
• Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and VOIP software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
