Location: Wetaskiwin
Make a difference in Wetaskiwin as a Full-Time Outreach Worker with McMan. Focus on supporting youth at risk of sexual exploitation while providing community resources and advocacy.
Join McMan’s Protection of Sexually Exploited Children Program, a respected agency serving Alberta since 1975. As an Outreach Worker, you will engage with families and educate them about their rights under the PSECA. This role emphasizes community presentations and crisis intervention to raise awareness and assist those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate youth and families on PSECA rights
• Advocate for at-risk individuals during crises
• Connect clients with community resources
• Conduct presentations to raise public awareness
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
Requirements:
• Minimum post-secondary diploma in Human Services
• 3 years of experience with high-risk youth
• Class 5 Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract
• Knowledge of PSECA and Indigenous culture
• Basic First Aid Level C certification
